Because friends always ask me what to do, where to stay and what to see when they come to Bali, I thought it might be nice to have everything I know in one place.
This is a work in progress (more like the absolute beginning as I write this...) and this little blog does not pretend to replace a guide; it is just about the places I like and that I personally know.
I am always discovering new things, of course I do not know everything and never will. If you know of a place you like and think is worth mentioning, please let me know.
I live on the East Coast of Bali and that's what I know best, I will concentrate on this area but I do go to other places as well from time to time, especially when my children visit. We go touring Bali and around the islands every time they come.
In this blog, you will find my personal favorite shops, restaurants, warungs, hotels, spas and beautiful spots, some known, some maybe not.
In the next entries, I am planning to cover the temples of Besakih, Lempuyang, Gumang and Goah Lawah; the market of Amlapura, the palace of Karangasem and Taman Ujung.
